The Calico Annual Tea Party was a success. Helen and (Ron) hosted the party in a beautiful setting in their backyard. We had canopies and even a fan. The food was typical tea party. Lizzette was our "server for the day" and made sure the delicacies were available and the tea pots were full. She was perfect. We need to give a special shout out to Lizzette and Doreen for all the preparation for last year's "COVID Cancelled" party. The decorations and settings were amazing and were typical of an old fashioned tea party. Check out the pictures!
The refreshments were a typical English Tea Party fare. We were served Earl Gray and Spiced Tea. There was iced tea for those that preferred a cold drink. At each place setting there was a small gift of chocolate candy. Some of the items available for our plate: Fruit, Quiches, Cucumber Sandwiches, Tiny Chocolate Cakes, and even some Shrimp Crackers. Those are just a sample - there was even more. It was obvious our committee spent some time preparing everything. I don't think we were suppose to "have a meal" but there was plenty for all.
Bev brought the smallest tea cup. One member didn't even recognize Fred - she actually cleans up pretty well. Patty was our Birthday Girl and won the final drawing. However, there were plenty of gifts to go around, and a wild card gift if you had blue tape under your chair. Just about everyone had a hat, but Theresa's hat could not be ignored.
Check out the pictures below.
This was a Tea Party to be remembered!
